Fees
The recommendations of the Australian Medical Association (AMA) inform Dr Brumby-Rendell's surgical fees.
The costs of running a safe, professional practice are evaluated by the AMA to recommend fair charges.
Recent Medicare changes (July 2021) have influenced orthopaedic surgery rebates. We can provide high-quality care by implementing the AMA-recommended rates.
No matter your private health insurance, Medicare and your Private Health Fund will not cover all of your surgical fees; you must pay the remainder out-of-pocket (gap). This gap allows us to provide safe and beneficial health care when rebates are limited. To receive further clarity, click here.
You will be given a financial consent document after your surgical procedure is booked. Full transparency is given so you can understand the fee of the surgery and the necessary out-of-pocket costs. Normally, the gap must be paid pre-operation, and the remaining fee will be directly charged to your Private Health Fund and Medicare.
